ABOUT:

The Novel Coronavirus SARS CoV2 causes the coronavirus disease COVID-19. It was first reported in Wuhan, China on 31st December 2019. It’s a new respiratory illness which can affect your lungs and airways.

SYMPTOMS:

The main symptoms of Coronavirus are a continuous cough, a high temperature, loss of taste and smell and shortness of breath. These are symptoms similar to other illnesses which are much more common like the common cold and seasonal flu however, many people show no symptoms whatsoever and are still infectious which is what makes the virus so deadly.

WHO CAN be infected with CORONAVIRUS?:

People of all ages can catch Coronavirus. Older people and those with pre-existing medical conditions such as asthma, heart disease and diabetes are more likely to become severely ill with the disease.

HOW IT’S CAUGHT AND SPREAD:

The Coronavirus is thought to be spread by coming into contact with bodily fluids from those who are infected with the virus, for example via cough droplets.

There is no proof you can catch the virus from parcels, letters, food or takeaways. However, you should still practice good hand hygiene before preparing or eating food.
